Snow Day . . .

Hi year six, I'm sure you know by now that the school is closed due to the snow. To keep you occupied, here are some things you might like to do:

1. Get your maths and English homework finished.

2. Test yourself on times tables.

3. Make sure that you know the months of the year, the order and how many days are in each.

4. Go onto google, type in Get Smart Maths 2, then choose a game or two to play.

Enjoy the snow! We will hopefully be back tomorrow.

6G solve all problems!

6G completed some brilliant work on solving problems today. They had to work out how many gold coins might be in two treasure chests based on different rules. They did their working out on their whiteboards and then shared how they had arrived at the answer. Here are some of their solutions? Are they clear? What do you like about them?
They also came up with some problems of their own.
  • Shania said "In Chest A I have 161, what is half of it?"
  • Bobbie said "How can you be sure if the coins are real or fake?"
  • Mateusz said "There are 103 coins in chest A. The multiple is not 2. What is the answer?"
  • James said "In A are 36, in B 42. What is the calculation on to box A and B?"
  • Chloe said "If Chest A has 48, Chest B has half that amount. How much in Chest B?"
Can you think of a problem to solve?
